Spirits of the Earth is a high fantasy role-playing game where literally anything is possible. Set on a very future Earth after the collapse of civilization as we today know it—or even the very destruction and rebirth of the Earth itself, depending on who you ask—the game centers around the large and diverse continent of Le’raana and the various beings that live there. Healed from the scars the wars and technologies of the past inflicted upon it, from a bird’s eye view all might seem peaceful and serene, but that is far from the case, for already history is beginning to repeat itself in the form of wars, greed, racial and religious conflict, and political corruption. And even though the old technologies are dead they could still pose a threat, for scattered throughout Le’raana and even the rest of the world lie ancient ruins and relics from the civilizations of the past, and some of these relics could potentially prove dangerous, lest the people of the new Earth make the same mistakes their ancestors did… New Window || Same Window |
 No galaxy is unreachable, technological advancements are made daily, and, best of all, magic exists. Aliens? Of course they're real! A quick stop at the local coffee shop, and you can talk intergalactic politics 'til you're blue in the face. You'll have plenty to talk about.
The future ain't all it's cracked up to be. Earth is a mess of pollution and waste, a planet dominated by a technological tyranny and the Dragons it once mastered. Mars is doing better; it was recently colonized by a bunch of Earthians and is in the process of terraforming, but if you're a mage, forget it! Stop by Mars and you won't be coming back; mages make good slaves. And if you buy any products anywhere, do be careful to read all the labels. That hairspray may claim that it wasn't tested on animals, but there's a good chance it was tested on humanoids.
Not everyone turns a blind eye to these atrocities, though, for there are resistance groups out there, working from the inside and the outside, that would see these wrongs corrected. But aside from the usual risks and hazards resistance brings, one group faces a unique challenge: how do you defeat the enemy when you are the enemy?
